This is a hand-woven textile wall tapestry created using reclaimed Rug Yarn, Banana Fibre and kitchen waste from local London cafés and restaurants. It has elements made out of Cork, ground coffee and banana peels.
Textile Artist Yahvi Duggal
Yahvi is a textile artist and educator based in London. Peel Studio is born out of her interest in both culinary arts and textiles, which led her to transform kitchen waste into tactile woven textiles. She defines Peel Studio as both her home and her laboratory. Her practice is rooted in the traditions of zero-waste living she grew up with in India, reimagined through a contemporary lens. She draws deep inspiration from everyday materials—reconnecting with nature and embracing slowness in a fast-paced world.
